Since 2015, Ristorante STORIA on Karlstraße 47a has been a piece of Southern Italy in the heart of Munich's Maxvorstadt. Domenico Speranza and his family serve Neapolitan stone-oven pizza at 400 °C, homemade pasta, and fresh seafood – accompanied by a curated Italian wine list. Just a few minutes' walk from Königsplatz, STORIA combines authentic Italian cuisine with the warmth of a family-run restaurant.
Whether it's a relaxed business lunch during the week, aperitivo on the terrace in the evening, or a romantic dinner for two – every visit should feel like an evening with friends in Italy. Inside and on the terrace, we each offer up to 100 seats or 180 standing – ideal for corporate events, birthdays and private celebrations.

La Famiglia Munich – Family Speranza since 2015
Looking for an authentic Italian restaurant in Munich? STORIA is the right choice. Since 2015, the Speranza family has brought Southern Italian hospitality to Maxvorstadt. Domenico and his brother Nicola come from Rofrano in the province of Salerno. Their love for good cuisine was inherited from their mother – affectionately called 'La Mamma'. What began as a dream of two brothers is now an integral part of Munich's dining scene.
Neapolitan Cuisine at the Highest Level
STORIA stands for authentic cuisine without compromise. We bake our pizza in a stone oven at over 400 degrees – crispy, airy, in the Neapolitan tradition. Fresh pasta like ravioli and tagliatelle is prepared daily by hand. We also serve seafood, classic antipasti and homemade dolci like our popular tiramisu. Each dish is accompanied by selected Italian wines from small family estates.

Our restaurant with terrace in Munich offers a little oasis in the middle of the city in summer. The covered terrace is ideal for an aperitivo or dinner under the open sky. For corporate events, birthdays and private events, we offer up to 100 seats inside and 100 on the terrace, with standing receptions up to 180 per area.
